New client: POSA Studio × Automated Commerce

POSA Studio makes premium footwear in Italian leather, handcrafted in Portugal. Every model exists in several colourways, and every colourway needs its own images and copy. This is what Automated Commerce will deliver for POSA.

POSA Studio makes premium footwear. Italian leather and suede, handcrafted in Portugal. A small, carefully built range in which every model exists in several colourways.

That is exactly where the work sits.

Each colourway is its own product, with its own description, its own photography and its own place in the collection. Every new drop adds that stack again, in every language POSA sells in. For a brand that sells on design, this is not an afterthought: online, the images and the copy are the product. It is also the work that scales the slowest.

The usual route is a shoot per season, a writer per language and a manual check afterwards. That holds as long as the range stands still. The moment colours, sizes or markets are added, the stack grows faster than the team.

That is where Automated Commerce fits in. Not as another tool alongside the rest, but as the place the catalog comes from. Image, copy, language and structure belong to the same product, so they belong in the same system.

What POSA gets from it:

  • One source for product data, media and copy
  • Product photography in the brand's own style, built from the existing images
  • Descriptions in the brand's own voice, written per product
  • Six languages, written per market instead of translated
  • Structured product data, so AI search engines can read the range
  • Everything pushed straight to the webshop, and updated the moment something changes

When a new colour arrives, it follows the same path as the rest. Without anyone having to walk the whole collection afterwards to check that it all still lines up.

Discovery is shifting too. A growing group of people looks for their next pair through an AI assistant rather than a filter page. An assistant does not read a mood shot, it reads product data. Whatever is not structured does not make the answer.

Max de Smit, Automated Commerce: "A brand like POSA sells on detail. That detail has to hold up in every colour, every language and on every channel, and that is exactly where manual work breaks down. We make the catalog keep itself current, so the team can work on the brand instead of the admin around it."
